ZIRO, Jun 16: Ajing FC lifted the 30th Hong Dree Football Tournament by defeating XI Siiro FC with a solitary margin in the final. In women’s category, XI Star FC emerged champions and Sancha Nyimu FC  runners-up.
The winning goal for Ajing FC came from Tilling Tajung when he beautifully converted a free kick in the  56 minute of the match from a long ranger. Speaking as chief guest, Deputy Commissioner, Lower Subansiri District Chukhu Takar exhorted the players to maintain sporting spirit and discipline in any sports activity and appreciated the Hong Dree Festival Celebration Committee for celebrating Dree with the theme 'Let’s Celebrate Dree With Plastic Free'.
The Committee has been  attempting to reduce plastic waste by banning use of mineral water bottles, plastic disposal plates and glasses by suggesting alternatives to these non-biodegradable wastes. DC later gave away prizes and declared the tournament closed. DIPRO
