ITANAGAR, May 8: Expressing concern over entry of migrants without valid Inner Line Permits, All Papumpare District Border Students Union (APPDBSU) has urged the Home Department to keep strict vigil on various check gates within Papumpare to avoid deterioration of law and order.
Asserting that being a capital district with high scope of employment, the influx of migrants especially labourers is high, the Union added that crime rate is also increasing rapidly as a result.
Calling for implementation of the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulations, 1873 in letter and spirit, the APPDBSU has asked the authorities to strictly monitor the influx of Non APST in check gates like Gumto, Hollongi, Banderdewa and Kimin.
