ITANAGAR, Jan 28: Himalayan University in association with National Stock Exchange, organized a seminar on “Career in Financial Management” with a view to create awareness and impart practical knowledge to students.
The objectives of the seminar was to increase awareness regarding Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange, share information about career in financial management and increase awareness regarding various chit fund and other bogus financial schemes.
Keynote speaker Aitra Mahapatra of NSE discussed various issues of financial management. While explaining the financial planning part, he stressed on developing the habit of savings and investing in a manner so that it could fetch maximum returns. If our Returns on Investment (ROI) is more than inflation only then we will be able to financially secure our future, he added also throwing light on different financial options, risks and related factors. He also spoke about various financial frauds and chit fund companies and discussed their modus operandi.
While delivering the vote of thanks Dr. Vivek Mittal, Registrar, Himalayan University said that the university is committed to provide a learning environment for students and believes in overall personality growth of the students. He further said that this sort of seminars is the need of the hour to educate young people about financial management and frauds.
