Kharsang, Jun 5: In the backdrop of spiraling COVID-19 positive cases in Diyun, Bordumsa and Miao, UD Minister Kamlung Mossang, Nampong MLA Laisam Simai, Bordumsa MLA Samlung Mosang along with Jairampur ADC Ibom Tao, Changlang district BJP unit president KN Tikhak and BJP Mandal functionaries visited the Namchick Police Checkgate which is the notified entry checkgate for three Assembly constituencies, to assess the overall logistics arrangements at the entry point, here, today. 
The high profile team provided PPE kits, hand sanitizer to the health workers, police personnel, sanitation workers, staff and magistrate working at the screening centre and manning the notified checkgate.
UD Minister Kamlung Mossang has assured to provide two busses to ferry the returnees of the three assembly constituencies from notified Namchick police Checkgate to various quarantine centres. Mossang also instructed the sub divisional administration to provide food for the officers and officials working at the checkgate as well for stranded returnees.
On the sideline of the visit, Nampong MLA Laisam Simai has asked the public not to panic because all the individuals with the positive cases are confined in the quarantine centre under the observation of the doctors. He also requested the public to be cautious and the wear mask and maintain social distance. 
The high profile team also visited the quarantine centres and took stock of the situation. 
Further, as precautionary measure, Changlang DC has imposed restrictions on inter-circle movement of persons and vehicles in Diyun, Miao and Bordumsa circles.
