MECHUKHA, Feb 8: A high-level delegation comprising the Minister RWD Honchum Ngandam, Minister Food & Civil Supplies Kamlung Mossang, Deputy Speaker Tesam Pongte, Koloriang MLA Lokam Tassar along with Speaker Pasang D Sona on Saturday visited the Model Tourism Village at Dechenthang, a few kilometre away from here.
The dignitaries are on a two-day tour to Mechukha where they will visit some ongoing projects and attend the Sonam Losar Festival of the Memba tribe of Shi-Yomi district on Sunday. After landing at Mechukha, the dignitaries took a cycle ride from the town to Singbir village en route to Dechenthang. At Dechenthang they were accorded a rousing welcome in a traditional way by the people and later visited some historical sites.
