Tawang, Sep 16: A meeting to discuss the ways and means of conducting the ensuing Tawang Festival 2019 in a successful manner was held today here at the DC Conference Hall under the chairmanship of MLA Tawang Tsering Tashi.
Tashi while acknowledging the cooperation received from all sections of the society that helped in making Tawang Festival grand successes over the years, sought suggestions from the members present for its further improvement. After threadbare discussion it was decided that this year the festival venue will be Gyalwa Tsangyang Gyatso High Altitude Stadium as infrastructure and ground development at the permanent location is yet to be completed. Taking inputs from the members it was also decided that this time, event management firms/NGOs will be assigned to manage and organise the festival under supervision of District Administration. Earlier, DTO (Tourism) Tsering Deki presented a report on Tawang Festival’s contribution in increasing tourist inflow to Tawang and adjoining districts. 
President MMT (Monpa Mimang Tsogpa) Rincehn Dorjee, President YUVA Tsetan Chombey and others also spoke on the occasion. Public leaders, ex-PRI members, student leaders, representatives of army & para military forces and HoDs also attended the meeting. DIPRO
