ITANAGAR, Dec 3: The coveted championship trophy slipped out from Arunachal’s hand this time also as the boys went down to Meghalaya 0-3 in the final of the Hero Sub Junior National Football Championship being played at Kalyani, West Bengal.
Both teams started the match on a positive intent and managed to create chances in the first half but goals seem elusive. Meghalaya came back stronger in the second half and scored the first goal in the 52nd minute. Although Arunachal fought hard for the equalizer, they failed to convert the chances and Meghalaya scored two more goals in the added time to lift the trophy. APFA PR
