ITANAGAR, Apr 18:

 

The History Department of Dera Natung Government College, Itanagar in collaboration with Sahapedia, New Delhi observed World Heritage Day  by conducting a  heritage walk at Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum today. The theme for this year is “Heritage for Generations”, set by UNESCO.

 

In line with the theme of the day, the organisers  gave its programme a custom theme titled as “Celebrating Heritage of Arunachal Pradesh at State Museum”, aimed to sensitise students about significance of indigenous heritage  and to encourage them to participate in their protection, preservation.

Altogether 54 students of the department headed by faculty members, Tsering Yangjom, Jimmy Camdir Tok and Duli Ete participated in the programme.

 

Earlier, the Directorate of Research also endorsed the walk by waiving off the entry ticket to the museum.
