NAHARLAGUN, Apr 30: To ensure quality of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Health Minister Alo Libang inspected the new consignment of PPE at Directorate of Health Service today. He was accompanied by the Secretary Health P Prathiban, Director DHS M Lego , OSD Mamta Riba and MLA Boleng Ojing Tasing.
We cannot compromise with the quality of PPE and health of the frontline warriors, said the Minister. He also informed that state government has procured at least 20,000 high-quality PPE and at least 6000 (PPE) have been distributed to various districts.
‘Today we have received a consignment of at least, 1200 PPEs and 4000 more are on the way in this batch,’ informed the Minister.
Responding to query on the cquality, he said 'we cannot compromise with the quality and our top priority is the safety of our health workers so I have personally visited the store to ensure that quality of PPE.'
