ITANAGAR, Dec 12: On the initiative of the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh BD Mishra, a one-day health and hygiene session was conducted at Government Primary School, B-Sector, Itanagar, located near Raj Bhavan, today.
In order to improve the health and hygiene status of children in schools, the Governor and First Lady of the State Neelam Misra had advised the officials of Governor’s Secretariat and medical officers of Raj Bhavan Dispensary to conduct the sessions with special emphasis on First Aid in schools as the stepping stone towards ‘Healthy Arunachal’.
The team comprising of Senior Medical Officer Dr. Jennifer Tayeng and Medical Officer Dr Gojum Karlo Karbak, conducted the sessions which dealt with First Aid steps to manage injuries including animal bites and personal hygiene.
Senior officers of Governor’s Secretariat were present on the occasion.
