ITANAGAR, May 11: Galo Welfare Society, President, Dr Minge Loyi passed away today after brief illness. 
Extending heartfelt condolences to the entire Galo community, Jarpum Gamlin said although his tenure as President has been short yet in his capacity as General Secretary of GWS, Dr Loyi’s seminal contributions in creation of new Galo dominated districts, Galo Heritage centre and in upholding Galo culture through teaching of the language in schools shall remain as testimonies to his strong leadership.
“Dr Loyi’s leadership has been impeccable and he has been the force behind the revival of Galo Unity and Progress,” Gamlin added. 
While praying for the eternal peace of his soul, Gamlin wished the bereaving family members strength during this difficult time.
