Itanagar, Jan 20: The Galo Welfare Society (GWS) has mourned the death of social activist Tami Bage, who passed away on Friday at TRIHMS after prolonged illness.
He will be known and remembered as a social activist for his following valuable contribution to the society and the Government. The Galo Guumin is immensely indebted to him for his contribution to encourage the celebration of Mopin Festival especially in ICR and Nirjuli since start of the Mopin Festival in the ICR, the GWS said in a statement.
Late Bage donated land for establishment of present NERIST and the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Veterinary & Dairy development. He facilitated the establishment of Capital Complex and construction of present State capital road by motivating and mobilizing the public to cooperate with the government in their endeavours to get good road.
