GSU claims that an amount of Two Crore was also sanctioned for the same Litemori to Taramori road under RE in the year 2015-16. But the implementing department illegally awarded the work without floating any tender (NIT) and bill for the same was also disbursed the very next day violating the laid down norms and conditions, it added.

The GSU also accused the Executive Engineer, PWD Gensi Division for illegally drawing a self cheque vide cheque no.0133775 for an amount of Rs. 1, 99, 14, 995  and questioned that whether any officer is authorized to issue a self cheque in his/her own name,  while demanding the CS to inquire into the illegal transaction made by the EE.

The GSU also accused the PWD department for embezzling a tune of Rs. 76, 52, 627. 00 Lakh sanctioned for PWD store and others under double lane highway from Akajan Tinali to Bam project vide letter no. GD/ Cash-01/2015-16/195 dated 15/07/2015.

The GSU said that the amount was later diverted at the behest of the then Minister for Transport vide UO letter No. HM (T)/11/2015 dated January 19 in the year 2015 for execution of works for carpeting and metalling work of road from BRTF road point to SDO Colony, Likabali.

However GSU claimed that for the PWD store for which the fund was sanctioned is still in tatters and the road for which the compensation amount was diverted is still in a pathetic condition.

“In the name of carpeting and metalling, only potholes were filled using substandard materials,” alleged GSU demanding an impartial inquiry into the whole corruption activities in the interest of public of the area.
