Itanagar, Jan 25: Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex Prince Dhawan graced the 45th anniversary cum annual day celebration of Govt. Sec. School Nirjuli as the chief guest in a glittering programme  today  held at the school campus. 
The DC lauded the school for achieving 45 years milestone in providing their service to the students for generations and hoped the school will continue with its glory and reputation in the coming years.
The DC urged the teachers to be the guiding force in a student’s life. He also urged the students to work hard to achieve big in life so that they  can give back to the society. He stressed that it is either now or never and  the students should utilise the moment and work hard. He further informed that the district administration is doing its best to improve the overall condition of the schools. He also informed that under CMSSY, three contractual teachers have been posted in the school to aid the gap of science and maths teachers, training for 400 plus teachers of various schools of Capital Complex conducted in collaboration with Azim Premji Foundation, Avanti Fellows, ALS IAS and various schools of Capital Complex and earlier basic furniture items like whiteboards, water filters etc were also distributed to all the schools. 
The DC also gave away the prizes to the winners of the various events that was held as a part of the celebration which began on  January 21 last. Various cultural programmes were also performed during the programme. Later, the DC inspected the classrooms, staff room, smart class room, computer and office rooms etc. to take stock of the condition of the school. DIPRO
