ITANAGAR, Oct 5: Aggrieved by sudden cancellation of advertisement for appointment to the posts of Surveyor (Civil), Draughtsman (grade-II), Stenographer, UDC and LDC under UD and Housing department, the Arunachal Unemployed Civil Engineer Co-ordinator(AUCEC) has sought the intervention of Chief Minister and Minister, UD and Housing in withdrawing the cancellation order.
In a representation submitted to Chief Secretary, Chief Minister and concerned UD Minister, it lamented that the cancellation order came at a time when all the forms were duly filled by candidates and scrutinized, exam centers announced and few days remaining to issue Admit cards.
Stating that it welcomed the recent recruitment policy made by Government owing to which the recruitment was cancelled, however, expressed reservation citing that many aspirants will exceed their age limits if the recruitment process is delayed more. 
It referred to a similar case wherein the Departmental recruitment of Junior Engineer (Civil) in RWD was cancelled and handed over to APPSC, which is yet to complete the recruitment process despite elapse of twenty months.
It further requested for immediate revocation of the cancellation order and to declare one-time relaxation for Department of UD and Housing department to conduct the recruitment process.
