ITANAGAR, May 7:The Students United Movement of All Arunachal on Monday drew the attention of the government towards condition of few state run schools in Upper Subansiri that are functioning without adequate subject teachers, proper infrastructure etc.
In a memorandum addressed to the Education Minister, it appealed for initiating steps to ensure early posting of adequate subject teachers for Physics, Chemistry and Hindi at Government Higher Secondary Schools at Kodak, Rijo and few secondary schools in the headquarters.
It also called for restoring damaged school infrastructure and timely release of funds for midday meal scheme, sanitary napkins, purchase of school uniforms, furniture and textbooks.
“Shortage of teachers and infrastructure bottlenecks including delay in releasing funds for various students’ welfare schemes is adversely affecting their education”, the union further informed.
