NAHARLAGUN, Sep 27: All Arunachal Pradesh Divyangjan Welfare Society (AAPDWS) as desired by Union Social Justice & Empowerment Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot, whose Ministry deals with the welfare of divyangjans under Department of Empowerment Of Persons With disabilities (Divyangjan), will be conducting state modification day at Nirjuli Nyokum Colony on September 28, said its president Damin Kayu (Massang).
Though the central government has been extending various welfare measures but nothing is implemented on the ground for reasons known to those who matter, he said, adding that is why Environment & Forest and Law Minister Nabam Rebia and Capital DC Prince Dhawan would be apprised of various grievances of state divyangjans on Friday.
All welfare schemes are either in files or get disappeared in official channels while the hapless divyangjans continue to suffer, he said while appreciating National Youth Project (NYP) led by president H P Biswas and vice president Pradeep Kumar for imparting skill development to many of them to help them earn a decent livelihood.
