3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
ITANAGAR, Oct 31: The Sixth Annual College Day celebration of Government College Doimukh commenced here today on a colourful note. Former chief Minister, Nabum Tuki and Professor Tomo Riba, Registrar-in-charge, Rajiv Gandhi University, attended the programme as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
In his address, Tuki offered tribute to late Indira Gandhi on the occasion of National Integration Day. While emphasizing about the essence of education, he stressed upon the role of teachers and institutions in imparting quality education.
Tuki said that education should reach out to all who desire to go for further studies and that internet facilities should be extensively used to connect with other colleges and universities to meet the shortage of subject teachers.
Responding to a memorandum, he promised to forward it to the CM and Education Minister and other concerned officers to look into the matter.
Prof. Tomo Riba gave his assurance for permanent affiliation and asked the College authorities to furnish all the required documents at the earliest. He advised the students to shun bad habits and inculcate discipline for obtaining knowledge. Principal of the college, Dr MQ Khan also spoke on the occasion.
