ITANAGAR, Nov 19: Chief Minister Pema Khandu today called on Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) here at Raj Bhavan and engaged in a review meeting of various developmental programmes and projects in the state.
Governor, who is going to attend the forthcoming Conference of Governors, discussed issues to be taken up during the conference and also at meetings with the Union Ministers. Sharing his thoughts about good governance, the he called for more efficiency and effectiveness in functioning of the State Secretariat and stressed on the need for filling up vacancies in state services.In this regard Governor opined that Public Service Commission must work tirelessly for flawless conduct of examinations for all state level grades and vacancies. While suggesting the CM on expediting road projects, he also emphasised on the need of preserving the Tiger Reserves of Namdapha Forest. 
Timely allocation of fund for developmental works for avoiding last-minute rush was also underscored by the Governor. Highlighting the need for a strong mechanism to prevent leakage of allocated public money, Governor suggested that State Public Accounts Committee must have regular meetings with the departments to bring in improvement in the situation.PRO Raj Bhavan
