PASIGHAT, Apr 10: Governor BD Mishra today held a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner East Siang,  Tamiyo Tatak and SP Prashant Gautam and took stock of the developmental works and prevailing law and order in the district. Geku MLA Olom Panyang and Group Captain, IAF (Rtd) Mohonto Panging were also present.

The Governor emphasized on proper implementation of development plans and projects and advised to ensure transparency, accountability and continuity. He directed the Deputy Commissioner to take special initiatives to ensure that fruits of all government schemes reach the lowest strata of society. He also held discussion with the Superintendent of Police to have an insight to the law and order situation prevailing throughout the district and stressed on proper measures to ensure foolproof safety and security for all.

The DC and SP briefed the Governor about the status of all government sponsored programs in the district. Tatak apprised the Governor in detail of the development works being undertaken in the district and said that the district administration has been on its toes to extend the fruits of governance to all sections of the people of the district.

Group Captain, IAF (Rtd) Mohonto Panging presented a brief report on ongoing Army recruitment and training being organized at Pasighat.
