ITANAGAR , Jan 29: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) today at Raj Bhavan felicitated Nabendyu Bhattacharjee, wireman, Capital Electrical Division-I of Raj Bhavan Power House for his contribution in conservation of electricity and maximising the usage of renewable energy.
Continuing with his endeavour to promote renewable energy, the Governor honoured Bhattacharjee for lighting the entire Raj Bhavan for Republic Day celebration in a low cost way with more than 3000 LED, using only solar power.
As per the tradition and in tune with the lighting pattern of Delhi Rajpath and Rashtrapati Bhavan and other state Raj Bhavans, Itanagar Raj Bhavan also is decorated with tiny lights every year. Bhattacharjee decorated the Governor’s residence on the festive occasion in a very innovative way.
The Governor, who has been strongly advocating for energy conservation and using solar power in his office chamber, appreciated Bhattacharjee’s ingenious use of renewable energy in the Raj Bhavan and exhorted officials and staff to use solar energy to the maximum. PRO Raj Bhavan
