ITANAGAR, Jul 11: State Cabinet Minister for Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Urban Development etc. Kamlung Mosang today called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) here at Raj Bhavan to discuss issues relating to the welfare of the people of Vijoynagar administrative circle in Changlang district located in the remotest easternmost part of the state.
The Minister briefed the Governor about the challenges and problems of the people of Vijoynagar area. While expressing concern about the well-being of the people of this remote place which comes under 50 Miao (ST) Assembly Constituency, Governor advised the Minister who also happens to be the local MLA to ensure that basic necessities such as ration items etc are made available to them with punctuality. Reminding that Vijoynagar remains cut-off all through the year and remains extremely inaccessible during rainy season, Governor asked the Minister to resume work on Miao-Vijoynagar Road at the earliest and added that he would like to chair a meeting on this issue on July 15 in his office.
Governor also advised the Minister to take necessary measures so that the benefits of developmental initiatives percolate to the remotest corner of his constituency and the state. Congratulating the state government for its stand on textbook distribution, Governor asked the Minister to ensure that textbooks and school uniforms reach the deserving students.
Governor also spoke to the Border Road Organization Chief Engineer of Project Udayak, Jitendra Prasad about the construction of an alternative road alignment to Vijoynagar and asked him to expedite the process.
