ITANAGAR, May 21: The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) reviewed the Rajiv Gandhi University - Atal Community Innovation Centre (RGU-ACIC) project at Raj Bhavan Itanagar today. RGU-ACIC project, under Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) of NITI Aayog aims to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in India.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Vice-Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Commissioner to the Governor, Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda and Arindam Chakrabarty, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, Rajiv Gandhi University attended the meeting.
Prof Kushwaha spoke about the various activities and research projects that are being undertaken by University. The Vice-Chancellor informed that RGU is going to set-up ‘Atal Community Innovation Centre (ACIC)’ as the varsity has been finally short-listed by Atal Innovation Mission (AIM),NITI Aayog, New Delhi. He added that the University has undertaken collaborative research projects under the aegis of ‘Indian Central Himalayan Universities Consortium’ - an initiative of NITI Aayog. He also mentioned that the University is going to take a social science research project on rural and boarder areas of Arunachal Pradesh as well.
Arindam Chakrabarty made the PowerPoint Presentation followed by discussion on various dimensions of the upcoming RGU-ACIC. PRO Raj Bhavan
