ITANAGAR, Apr 13:Governor BD Mishra  today held a meeting  through  video conference with the Deputy Commisioners of various districts and updated the latest arrangement regarding the Army  pre recruitment training in their districts. He advised the DCs to make arrangement for our youth seeking recruitment as a commitment. He said that this is a kind of social work and it must be done selflessly to benefit our own youth.
He took stock of the central and State sponsored schemes. He asked them to be pro active and make the developmental work successful. The DCs should iron out any problem coming in the way of development as they are the livewire in the implementation of the schemes, he said.
He was of the view that there has been some slackness in the administration and policing because of which  there have been instances where the people have tried to take the law into their hands. Early information and anticipation mechanism has to be in place to avert such situation, he said.
He informed that around 3000 vacancies of policemen will be filled district wise. The DCs have to ensure that the best and the fittest are selected on merit basis. The selection process has to be transparent and very fair.
