3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
ITANAGAR, Jan 13: Governor BD Mishra inaugurated the two-day Silver Jubilee programme and Karyakarta Prant Sammelan 2019 of Arunachal Vikas Parishad (AVP) at Itanagar on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor felicitated the Arunachal Vikas Parishad for its commendable work in the socio cultural development of different indigenous communities of the State. He commended them for their endeavour in rendering yeoman service towards wellbeing of the people.
The Arunachal Vikas Prashad has been working for a quarter of century now in the State with utmost sense of duty and patriotism, he said.
The Governor praised the great contribution of AVP’s first visionary President Golgi Bote Talom Rukbo, a great son of the soil.
The Governor urged upon the AVP workers to promote ‘100 percent Nation First’ spirit amongst the people of Arunachal Pradesh. He advised them to continue to have patriotism as the soul of each and every AVP programme.
If Nation is there, we are there; if Nation is secured, we are secure; if Nation develops, we develop and that spirit should show us our path, the Governor said.
The Governor said that Arunachal Pradesh has rich cultural heritage and traditions. He emphasised that it must be maintained and preserved for securing the cultural amity of the State.
Emphasizing on the women empowerment, the Governor said that empowerment respect for women, help to them in education, health and social security will ensure education, health and well-being all households.
The Governor also exhorted the AVP Karyakartas to focus on progressive engagement of young girls and boys in socially productive pursuit.

Er. Techi Gubin and General Secretary AVP Gyati Rana also spoke on the occasion. Er. Tayum Tok, Vice Chairman, Silver Jubilee year Karyakarta Prant Sammelan 2019 organizing committee felicitated the guests.
Earlier, the Governor lighted the inaugural lamp and paid tribute to Bharat Mata. He also released two documentary films on ‘Nocte Marriage ceremony’ and ‘Mishmi Birth system’ and Arunachal Vikas Parishad annual calendar on the occasion.
Large numbers of workers of Arunachal Vikas Parishad, including former Karyakatas from outside the State, who have contributed in the activities of the organization participating in the two-day Karyakarta Prant Sammelan 2019. Special invitees and cultural troupes from different communities are also taking part in the silver jubilee celebration.
