ITANAGAR, Dec 6: Governor BD Mishra has extended warm greetings to the members of the chivalrous Indian Armed Forces and also the Arunachal Pradesh youth amongst them on the special occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day. He expressed hope that the day will further reinforce the goodwill of the people of the country towards our brave armed forces personnel.
In his message, the Governor said that starting in the year 1949, in the honour of the men in uniform who valiantly fought for the defence of the Nation and made the supreme sacrifice, 7th December is being observed as the Armed Forces Flag Day throughout the country. It provides us an opportunity to discharge our obligation of looking after the families of the martyrs, disabled comrade-in-arms and the Vir Naris. This day also calls for offering of our gratitude to the brave and gallant heroes from the Armed forces, who fighting the enemies of the Nation, put their life in peril for our sake. Be they part of our memory forever, the message read.
