Itanagar, Jun 13: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the State and in particular, to all the selfless blood donors whose compassionate service is a beacon of hope and humanity on the occasion of World Blood Donors' Day.
On this day, I congratulate and salute every blood donor for their noble act of giving life through voluntary blood donation. Your generosity has saved countless lives and continues to inspire others to follow your example. Your silent contribution is one of the greatest services one can offer to society, he said.
The Governor said that Voluntary blood donation is one of the most selfless and compassionate acts a person can perform. It is not just a medical necessity but is a lifeline for those facing critical moments in their lives, be it during emergencies, surgeries, accidents, or while fighting chronic illnesses. A single donation can mean the difference between life and death for someone. By coming forward to donate, you offer hope, healing, and a second chance at life, he said. The Governor appealed to all able and healthy individuals, especially young people, to come forward and join this life-saving mission. By donating blood regularly, you help patients in need and, more importantly, strengthen the spirit of solidarity and care within our communities, he said.
Let us unite to spread awareness and build a culture of voluntary blood donation. Every drop counts and every donor is a hero, the Governor said in his message.
