Itanagar, Oct 1: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) along with Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday chaired a high-level security meeting here at Raj Bhavan which dwelt mainly on the state’s security matters with special focus on law and order situation. 
The meeting was attended by AVSM, VSM, AOC-in-C Eastern Air Command Air Marshal R.D. Mathur, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, GOC-in-C, Eastern Command Lt. General Anil Chauhan along with Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar and Director General of Police & Commissioner to Governor R.P. Upadyaya. Governor reviewed the security status of the state focusing on law and order situation and also the security infrastructure in border areas. He emphasised that a sense of security must be instilled amongst the people particularly those living in remote border areas and opined that presence of forces there will act as security multipliers. Governor further stressed on initiating more Samaritan projects to enhance confidence building and organizational support between the security personnel and civilian population.

AVSM, VSM, GOC, 3 Corps Lt General Rajeev Sirohi, AVSM, VSM, GOC 4 Corps Lt. General Manoj Pandey and VSM, ADG, Assam Rifles Major General Balwider Singh were also present in the meeting. PRO Raj Bhavan
