ITANAGAR, Apr 6: Joining the people of the state, Governor (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) and First Lady Neelam Misra participated in the 'lighting of diyas' solidarity on Sunday at 9 pm to show respect  to the fight against coronavirus.
Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call, Governor and First Lady joined the state and lighted diyas to show solidarity to all citizens and extend gratitude to the frontline corona warriors comprising the doctors, nurses, paramedics and police. While commending the good work of these people, he also acknowledged the contributions of the civil administration officers, NGOs, Red Cross, students’ unions, volunteers, army and social organizations for their tireless efforts in assisting the common people at this hour of crisis. 
Governor once more appealed the people of the state to follow the lockdown procedures and maintain social distancing. “For sure we will defeat this pandemic,” Governor said. PRO Raj Bhavan
