ITANAGAR, Apr 13: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) has conveyed his warm greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasions of Sangken & Bohag Bihu and on the 129th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Extending his Sangken greetings, Governor in his message while mentioning the ritualistic aspects of the festival said: “On this Sangken Day, I join my Khampti and Singpho brethren in offering prayers for universal peace and harmony.” “In our joint endeavour to defeat Covid-19, I call upon all our Khampti and Singpho brethren to observe the festival individually at home and take all precautions in letter and spirit,” the message added.
In his Bohag Bihu greetings, Governor while extending his warm greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam wished the festivity brings contentment and harmony in society and progress for all. He once more reminded the need to observe the festival at home without congregation for everybody’s safety. “Let us stay at home and follow social distancing to avoid the deadly infection,” Governor appealed through his message.
Greeting the state’s people on the 129th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna & Father of the Indian Constitution Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Governor has appealed all to follow the ideals of Dr. Ambedkar and uphold the sanctity of the Indian Constitution particularly the Fundamental Duties. Along with this, he has appealed the state’s people to strictly adhere to all lockdown advisories. PRO Raj Bhavan
