Itanagar, Jan 31: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd.) has extended his warm greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of Reh Festival of the Idu Mishmi tribe. He expressed his hope that the festivity evokes blessings of the Almighty and blesses one and all with good health, contentment and communal harmony.
In his message, the Governor said that the Reh Festival serves as a platform to exhibit the unique cultural identity and practices of the Idu Mishmi community. By actively engaging in the rituals, prayers, and offerings, community members pay obeisance to their ancestors and deities and also reinforce the bonds of brotherhood and unity among themselves. Such celebrations indeed play a crucial role in preserving and promoting the rich heritage and traditions of tribal communities. I advise every member of the community to actively participate and display cohesive bonding, he said.
On this auspicious occasion, I join my Idu Mishmi brethren in offering prayers to the Almighty to bless each one of us with his choicest blessings, the Governor said in his message.
