Itanagar, Feb 15: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) greeted the people of the State on the festive occasion of Oriah Festival and expressed hope that the festivity will promote goodwill, peace and communal harmony in the State.
In his message, the Governor said that Oriah Festival is observed to invoke the blessing of the Almighty ‘Rangwa’. At the same, it facilitates us to safeguard our age-old traditions and good practices. The celebration brings about emotional integration, brotherhood and amity amongst our citizens which bestows prosperity and happiness in society, he said.
Today, I join my Wancho brethren in offering prayers to the Almighty Rangwan for his blessings to all of us, the Governor said in his message.
