ITANAGAR, Jan 12: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) has extended his warm greetings to the youths of the state on the occasion of National Youth Day which commemorates the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Recalling Swami Vivekananda’s great role as a nationalist and a preacher and propagator of universal brotherhood, Governor said that Swamiji was the first Indian to give the ‘Nation First’ motto and introduced to the Western World the priceless vedic philosophy, yoga and interfaith awareness.
Commending the services of the Ramakrishna Mission Order, he said that the organisation has played a great role in promoting education and health services all over the world, India and particularly in Arunachal Pradesh. Many civil services officers, doctors, technocrats and public leaders of the state warmly acknowledge the contributions of the Ramakrishna Mission schools for their success, he added.
