ITANAGAR, Sep 23: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has extended warm greetings to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Ke Meh Ha festival. He expressed hope that the festival of the Idu tribe will usher in prosperity and happiness in society.
In his message, the Governor said that agriculture has served as the cornerstone of Arunachal Pradesh's livelihood for countless generations. Consequently, our festivals have always been intricately intertwined with agricultural practices, and our people have enthusiastically observed these celebrations through the lens of farming and cultivation. These cherished traditions and rituals have evolved into a powerful means of safeguarding and propagating our rich cultural heritage. It is imperative that we embrace and promote our heritage with unwavering pride. Our history and customs are a testament to the resilience and wisdom of our ancestors, and it is our duty to ensure they continue to thrive in the tapestry of our modern society. In this vein, I earnestly implore the younger generation to actively engage in our community celebrations that connect us to our profound roots. By doing so, we not only honor our legacy but also ensure its endurance for generations to come. Together, we can forge a stronger bond with our cultural identity, strengthening the very essence of who we are as people of Arunachal Pradesh, he said.
On this sacred day, I join my Idu community in their prayer to Apeh Mili and Apeh Gonlo to invoke their blessings for each one of us, the Governor said in his message.
