RUPA, Oct 14: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) who is on a three-day tour to West Kameng district, today interacted with the district officials, Gaon Burahs and public here  at Balemu.
Advising the people to avail maximum benefits from the self-sustainable and job creating schemes of the state and central governments, Governor cited the programmes like ‘Stand Up’, ‘Startup’, Make in India’ etc. which stress on self-employability. He urged upon the senior citizens, particularly the Gaon Burahs to motivate and guide the youth towards entrepreneurship and self-employment. Take up poultry, piggery, sericulture or vegetable farming, Governor advised, while stating that they should become job creators instead of job seekers. He further opined that GBs should take lead in ensuring that every child above 6 years age go to school and reminded that it is the duty of every citizen to see that programmes and projects are implemented on the ground in letter and spirit. Governor also called upon the government officials to be punctual in duty and meet public expectations. Replying to a request from the people for mobile connectivity, Governor said that government is pursuing the issue which has already been taken up with the Union Minister for Telecommunication. He also urged upon the people to reinforce the age-old good relationship with people of Bhutan and called for a strong mechanism to maintain peace and tranquility in the area and instil a sense of security amongst the local population. 
Earlier, a traditional reception led the Deputy Commissioner in-charge Gombu Tsering and Superintendent of Police Raja Banthia was accorded to the Governor and the First Lady on their arrival at Balemu, the tri-junction of Arunachal-Assam-Bhutan. PRO Raj Bhavan
