ITANAGAR, Jun 13: On the occasion of the World Blood Donor Day 2020 to be observed on Sunday, Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) has conveyed his compliments to the blood donors.
Highlighting the significance of the day, Governor, who is also the President of Indian Red Cross Society, Arunachal Pradesh State Branch in his message expressed hope that the occasion will motivate more able bodied youths of the state to come forward voluntarily for the benevolent cause. “Blood donation is the noblest of the noble gestures and there can be no better a satisfaction than getting involved in a life-saving act,” his message read.
Reminding the people of their societal responsibility, Governor underscored the need for ensuring a continuous and adequate availability of blood for the needy and called upon all eligible blood donors and voluntary organizations to continue their mission with renewed vigour and enthusiasm, so that the state never faces any scarcity of blood.
