ITANAGAR, May 21: Chief Engineer, Officiating Additional Director General, Border Roads Organization (BRO)-East, P.K.H. Singh, VSM called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh today, here at Raj Bhavan and discussed about BRO’s programmes in Arunachal Pradesh.
Governor commended BRO for construction and maintenance of roads in remote and far-flung areas of the state and urged them to keep the roads open throughout the year for ease of movement and well-being of the state’s people. Development of tourism in the state, socio-economic growth of agrarian community and export of organic horticultural & agricultural produce largely depend on good road connectivity, he underscored. He also assured the visiting officer to facilitate all administrative help in construction of roads in the state and further suggested to build up good rapport with the local communities for smooth execution of projects.
