ITANAGAR, Jan 25: General Officer Commanding, 5 Mountain Division, Major General Deepak Saini called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan today, Vital issues including security scenario of the State and assistance required by the Army from the State Government were discussed.
The Governor appreciated the good civil military relationship being maintained by 5 Mountain Division and requested the General Officer Commanding to convey his greetings to the troops on the occasion of Republic Day. The Governor discussed about the security of the borders and the border areas.
The Governor also discussed about the welfare programmes for the ex-servicemen and Veer Naris in Rupa, Tenga, Bomdila and Tawang areas.
