ITANAGAR, Apr 26: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) has complimented the citizens of Arunachal Pradesh for making the ongoing lockdown “very successful” through observance of all precautionary norms.
Appealing the state’s people to continue implementing the advisories in right spirit to keep alive the fight against Covid-19 pandemic, Governor in his message said after 35 days since announcement of the nationwide lockdown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi it is a “great sense of satisfaction the nation is fighting the most difficult battle in recent human history very well and also providing support to other countries at regional as well as global level.” Governor shared his happiness that by grace of the Almighty and people’s cooperation, Arunachal Pradesh so far is completely free from the pandemic and under leadership of “dynamic Chief Minister Pema Khandu has taken all measures to keep the state free from the virus.”
In his message Governor mentioned the role being played by TRIHMS as a designated Covid-19 hospital and opined that necessary preparations by way of purchase of ventilators, PPE, quarantine facilities etc. have been taken by the state to meet any contingency with all-round vigil maintained by joint teams of magistrates, doctors and police at check gates. “My government has sufficient stock of essential ration supplies and food & ration are being given to all the needy including labourers of other provinces stranded in state. For providing assistance to all Arunachalees stranded outside, Rs. 3,500 has been provided and senior IAS, IPS and APCS officers are coordinating with officials of different states for provision of ration and other essentials to the state’s students stranded in every nook and corner of the country,” Governor said while highlighting the initiatives of the state government. He acknowledged the efforts of the frontline fighters comprising doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, police officers, fire and emergency services, SDRF, civil administration, DCs & SPs, GBs and public representatives. 
Recapitulating PM’s ‘Man Ki Baat’ aired on Sunday, he appealed the state’s citizens to emphasize on the issues namely continue giving importance to the pandemic by observing all necessary precautions, maintaining social distancing and refraining from spitting in open. PRO Raj Bhavan
