ITANAGAR, Feb 1: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have extended warm greetings to the people of the state, particularly the Mising and Adi communities on the festive occasion of Ali-Aye-Ligang and Donggin.
In his message, the Governor said that   Ali Aye Ligang and Donggin festivals which are celebrated with great fervour and gaiety marks the new agri-horticultural season and the rituals and festivity associated with these festivals are performed to invoke the blessings of the Almighty for good harvest. He hoped that these festivals will continue to help in preserving the age-old customs and traditions which have been handed down from the days of yore, from generation to generation and will continue to preserve the cherished rich emotional, cultural and social traditions of the Mising and Adi communities.
Khandu in his festival message, hoped that the festive occasion would bring with it prosperity, peace, brotherhood, bumper harvest and good health for the people of Arunachal Pradesh. "Festival fosters bond between communities and strengthens the age-old mutual trust and respect,” Khandu said while praying Almighty to bless each with his choicest blessings. CMO/ PRO Raj Bhawan
