ITANAGAR, Feb 14:Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have greeted the people of the state in particular the Mishmi community on the occasion of Tamladu.

In his message, the Governor said that the celebration of Tamladu festival brings the community members together and also helps in carrying forward their age-old cultural heritage and customs. Digaru Mishmi brethren of ours take pride in their rich customs and traditions and this consequently adds to our cultural diversity, the Governor said, while calling upon the people to continue to be firmly rooted in their glorious past.

Invoking the blessings of Almighty Matai Jabmalo, CM Khandu also called on the Mishmi community to stand united against the menace of drug and opium addiction and to guide society to the path of prosperity and development
