ITANAGAR, Apr 10:Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have extended festival greetings and best wishes to the people of the State and to the Tutsa community in particular on the auspicious occasion of Pongtu festival.
In his festival message, the Governor expressed hope that the festival will usher in peace, happiness and prosperity for all.
I join my Tutsa brethren in offering prayers to Supreme God Rangkathok for his choicest blessings to us all, the Governor said in his message.
Extending greetings to the members of the Tutsa community, Khandu reiterated his call for all to join the celebration irrespective of community and religion.
"Festivals not only preserve our rich and distinct culture but also play a pivotal role in strengthening the bond between different communities of our distinct state," he said.
The Chief Minister prayed the almighty for peace, prosperity and happiness for people of the state.
