ITANAGAR, Sep 4: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have extended warm greetings to the teaching community of the state on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
Giving his message on the day which commemorates the birth anniversary of the former President and Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Governor congratulated the teachers of the state who are imparting education to the state’s younger generation in far-flung areas braving hardships. He appealed the teaching community  to cultivate knowledge, ethical values, hard work, punctuality and discipline amongst their students.
May the celebrations of Teacher’s Day inspire us to follow the values of Dr. Radhakrishnan and let us also remember the great Indian culture and virtues and put all energies in ensuring that those virtues are emulated in the missions of ‘Swachh Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, and Ek Bharat’, Governor said in his message. 
Chief Minister Pema Khandu while paying tributes to Dr S Radhakrishnan  and conveying his greetings to the teaching fraternity of the state, said that the role of a teacher in one's life is important and even more precious than parents.
Admitting the hardships faced by teachers posted in remote areas, Khandu said that their contribution in shaping the future of Arunachal becomes all the more significant.  Reminding the students of the significance of the day, he called upon them to bestow love and respect to the teachers.
