ITANAGAR, Mar 20: The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have greeted the people of the State on the festive occasion of Holi.
The Governor expressed hope that the ‘Festival of colours’ will inspire all to follow the cherished principles of secularism, peace, love and universal brotherhood.
In his message, he said that Holi marks the arrival of spring, a season, when Mother Nature manifests its beauty and grandeur in a colourful splash all around, rekindling the verve and zest for life. Symbolically it stands for the start of a new life of spiritual wisdom and devotion. Legends of Holi help us to believe in the virtue of being truthful and honest and also to fight against the evil forces.

People of all folds and manner participate in this joyous and colourful festival, which strengthens the secular fabric of the nation, Governor said.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a message on eve of the religious festival that marks the end of winter and beginning of spring said, “Holi, celebrated every year, symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. On this festive occasion, I appeal my fellow citizens of the state to prevail with truth and remember that evil will always lose at the end of the day. Let’s embrace the good and desist all that’s bad.”
While urging all, irrespective of religious affiliations, to join the celebration of colours without which, he pointed, life would be so dull. PRO RajBhavan/ CMO
