ITANAGAR, Nov 5:Governor BD Mishra visited the burial and cremation ground for Itanagar Capital Complex, at Karsingsa, 27 km from Itanagar today. The Chief Councillor of Itanagar Municipal Council, Kipa Kaku, along with members of Itanagar Municipal Council, PCCF Omkar Singh and Secretary to Governor Vinod P Kavle, accompanied the Governor.

The Governor emphasised that proper study on the viability of the site with reference to population and mortality rate of the Capital Complex in addition to the geographical topography must be carried out. A comprehensive and holistic approach must be there to address the social implications. The planning must be to meet the requirements for next fifty years at least, he opined.

The Governor also advised the Municipal Council members to vigorously take up cleanliness drives in the State Capital to realize the goal of Swachh Bharat.
