Guwahati, Jul 6: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) today attended the release programme of the Assamese edition of ‘Charaiveti Charaiveti’ (Marching Ahead), an autobiography of Ram Naik, Governor of Uttar Pradesh here at Shrimanta Shankardeva Kalakshetra.
Governor said that with the Assamese edition of the autobiography, people of Northeast will know more about Ram Naik and will be inspired by his personality. He added that the autobiography reflects the dedicated and visionary life of Ram Naik who worked towards upliftment of needy people, social development, patriotism and national pride. Highlighting the personality of Ram Naik, Governor recalled his achievements as Railway Minister and as Petroleum Minister under Vajpayee government.
Governors of Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim- Professor Jagdish Mukhi, Tathagata Roy and Ganga Prasad respectively along with Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis were present on the occasion. PRO Raj Bhavan
