ITANAGAR, Mar 20: In wake of the fast enlarging coronavirus crisis in the country, Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) on Friday issued an appeal to the citizens of the state to refrain from panicking, exercise patience and take adequate precautions.
Stressing particularly on the advisory of remaining voluntarily confined at home, Governor reminded the overwhelming need to take utmost care since medical science is yet to deliver any definite remedy. Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to the nation, he reiterated the dos and don’ts such as social isolation, avoiding crowded gathering, reducing non-essential movements, physical distancing in public places and staying indoors. “Let all my fellow Arunachalees be rest assured that state Government has fully stocked the essential supplies and all necessary preventive measures are being progressively taken for stopping the spread of the deadly virus,” Governor said.
He also appealed all citizens of the state to observe the ‘Janta Curfew’ on March 22 from 0700 hrs. to 2100 hrs. and engage oneself in thanksgiving of the essential services workers who are serving the nation in fighting the epidemic by standing outside and clapping for five minutes at 1700 hrs. as appealed by the Prime Minister.
