ITANAGAR, Aug 22: Expressing concern over the inordinate delay in posting of Deputy Commissioner at Yupia, All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) and All Papum Pare District Students ‘Union (APPDSU) have urged the state government for immediate posting of a new DC at the district headquarters.
Since the incumbent Deputy Commissioner Dr. Joram Beda, IAS repatriated to parent department in Punjab, the office of the Deputy Commissioner has been left without any proper relieving officer which has brought all development activities to a standstill, the release stated.
It pointed out that the ‘stop-gap arrangement of dual charge given to DC Itanagar Capital Complex is amounting to ignoring and undermining the real plight of the common people of the district.’
The unions further urged upon the state government to immediately post a new Deputy Commissioner at Yupia to attend to the vexed boundary, law and order issues which is haunting the citizens dwelling in the boundary areas of the district in recent times. Newdesk
