SEPPA, Mar 12: The newly upgraded building of District Hospital, Seppa was jointly inaugurated by Minister for Health & Family Welfare Alo Libang and legislator Tapuk Taku on Thursday.
In his address, Libang urged the public to utilize the public facility with proper care and requested the doctors and the medical staff to be dedicated and punctual towards their assigned duty.
Stating that the state government is working devotedly for the improvement of the health sector, Libang assured to look into the need of doctors, including shortage of equipment and medical staffers at the district hospital.
"Doctors are next to God; therefore it is your duty to provide service that is satisfactory to the public," Libang underlined.
Speaking to reporters on the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Libang appealed people not to panic as the department has already initiated action plan to prevent the spread of the disease in the state.
Local MLA, Tapuk Taku said that the newly upgraded district hospital is a gift from the state government to the people of East Kameng and urged the people of the district to maintain cleanliness around the hospital premises. He also assured to fulfill all the basic and major requirements of the hospital.
Earlier Taku also urged the health minister to look into the matter of posting of specialist doctors along with, GDMO, ANM and GNM nurses in PHCs, CHCs and district hospital in the district.
The inauguration was also attended by Bameng constituency legislator Goruk Pordung, SP Piyush Fulzele, DMO Dr. Lalchand Darung and other health staff. A plantation programme was also organized at the hospital compound to mark the occasion.
