ITANAGAR, Sep 4: Representatives of Kamla Hydro Electric Project Local Implementation Committee (KHEPPLIC) led by MLA Raga Tarin Dakpe today called on Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein to discuss issues regarding implementation of Kamla HEP (1800 MW) here at his official residence.
While submitting representation to the DCM, Dakpe on behalf of the affected locality requested for early implementation of the Kamla HEP allotted to M/s Jindal Power Ltd and assured their full cooperation for implementation of the project. Mein reiterated state government’s stand for generating clean & green energy in the state by assisting all the developers involved in the project and expressed government’s strong desire to activate various HEPs allotted to independent power producers.
DCM had proposed to constitute a seven member committee with Commissioner Power as Convener immediately to study the matter & submit report to his office within a seven-day time frame. He also informed that a High Level Committee will be constituted under his chairmanship who after proper examining of committee report will invite the developer to discuss the matter to pave way for early implementation of Kamla HEP.
Mein further informed that the state government desires to activate the project implementation activities of Kamla HEP in a war footing and all engineers and agencies had been directed to act accordingly. DCM Media Cell
